QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF)
The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification, specifically designed for those who are appointed to act as a first aider in their workplace. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide first aid in voluntary and community activities.
Over a 3 day period, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of first aid course situations, including assessing an incident, managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, heart attacks, choking, head and spinal injuries, fractures, anaphylaxis and more.
QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF)
The QA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (Annual Refresher) (RQF) qualification is specifically designed to allow qualified first aiders to update their first aid skills yearly until requalification training is required.
Over a half-day period, Learners will leave with a renewed confidence having had the opportunity to practise essential first aid procedures, including managing an unresponsive casualty, recovery position, CPR, choking and more.
QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF)
The QA Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who have a specific responsibility at work, to provide first aid in a range of emergency first aid situations. It is also ideal for people who have a specific responsibility to provide basic first aid in voluntary and community activities.
During this 1 day course, Learners will develop the skills and knowledge needed to deal with a range of emergency first aid situations, including managing an unresponsive casualty, CPR, choking, shock, wounds and bleeding and minor injuries.
QA Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF)
The QA Level 1 Award in Health and Safety in the Workplace (RQF) has been designed for all employees working in different types of environments to help raise their awareness of health and safety in the workplace.
During this half-day course, Learners will develop a basic knowledge of health and safety issues such as hazards and risks in the workplace, workplace conditions that can affect health and safety, and the requirements for workplace procedures.
QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF)
The QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF) qualification has been specifically designed for all employees to help raise their awareness of the risks associated with unsafe manual handling practices. It is also ideal for those who might have to carry out manual handling as part of their jobs such as handling deliveries, parcels and boxes.
Over a half-day period, successful Learners will develop a greater awareness of manual handling, including common manual handling injuries, the safe movement principles, theory of safe manual handling principles and manual handling equipment.
Please note that this qualification does not include practical sessions. Those requiring practical training should undertake the QA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF).
QA Level 2 Award in Principles of Manual Handling (RQF)
The QA Level 2 Award in Safe Moving and Handling (RQF) is a regulated and nationally recognised qualification designed for those who work, or intend to work, in a role that involves manual handling. It is ideal for those working in a variety of environments including warehouses and shops.
During this 1 day course, Learners will learn the key principles of manual handling and how to apply these to their workplace. They will also practise a wide range of techniques, ensuring that they leave the course confident and proficient in moving and handling.
QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF)
The QA Level 1 Award in Fire Safety Awareness (RQF) qualification is designed for those who want to increase their awareness of fire safety in the workplace.
Over a half-day period, Learners will learn basic fire safety principles, including causes of fires in the workplace, basic fire safety duties and responsibilities, principles of fire risk control, safe use of portable fire-fighting equipment and more.
QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF)
The QA Level 2 Award in Fire Safety (RQF) qualification has been designed for anyone who has specific responsibility for fire safety in the workplace, such as designated fire wardens/fire marshals.
During this 1 day course, Learners will develop their knowledge and skills in fire safety, including how fires are caused, the risks associated with fire, principles of fire safety management at work, understanding the role of a fire warden and more.
